Development of water quality discharge model -SWAT- applied to paddy fileds
Research members: Dr. Tasuku KATO
Research fields: Agro-engineering, Boundary agriculture, Sustainable and environmental system development
Departments: Institute of Agriculture
Keywords: Irrigation
Summary
SWAT -Soil and Water Assessment Tool- model is currently applied for water use, material balance, and environmental conservation. Especially, as water resources share of agricultural water use is large, the model is interested from aspects of "sustainability", "food security", and "biodiversity" in global scale.
